I have no idea whether this posting about sip being dead will get much attention, but in that case i hope mine will too. Martin describes the success of Skype and declares SIP dead.

Sure, Skype seems doing great and you might include Skype when implementing VOIP, but i hope more and more people will understand the importance of standards before having to pay the price. Investing in non-standard stuff eventually will cost you big time...

Skype has a head-start, but SIP will win :-)!
